About

My Story

I graduated from Cleveland State University in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in Art, concentrated in Printmaking and Sculpture. Realizing I also needed to make a living, I took classes in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and QuarkXpress, among others, and earned a certification in Graphic Design.

In my last year of college, I was hired as the graphic designer for Travel Boards, Inc. which provided hotel advertising and information signs within service areas on toll roads in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and West Virginia. I was in charge of the design of the information signs and marketing materials, as well as drawing the state and region maps and location maps for advertisers. I ultimately became the Director of Graphics and Mapping, training and supervising department personnel. I was employed with the company for 11 years, the last 3 of which I worked remotely after moving to Salt Lake City with my then-future wife.

In 2010, I accepted a position with Commerce Real Estate Solutions, a major commercial real estate firm in downtown Salt Lake City as a graphic designer. Very quickly, because of my design capabilities and overall competency, I was made the exclusive designer to the top-producing agent in the firm.  I was also asked to design the company's brochure and email blast templates, which were used for the next couple of years. Within a year, I was promoted to Senior Graphic Designer.

In 2018, I was hired back full time as Senior Marketing Specialist at Cushman & Wakefield (formerly Commerce), for whom I was a contractor since 2012.

I reside in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, where my wife holds a position at Southeast Missouri State University as an Associate Professor of Biology. I enjoy raising my kids, riding my bike, the outdoors and stumbling through pick-up basketball games a couple times a week.
